The 32ft HORIZON has been designed as a fast offshore racer. The 6 berth layout still leaves plenty of room to move throughout the craft without being cramped. Full headroom is maintained which makes the craft ideal for extended ocean passages and living aboard. The sail plan is easily handled and is designed to rate favourably. Again the auxiliary engine is accommodated under the cockpit sole and a weight of 500 lbs. has been allowed for in the design.
The Horizon hull has been designed to give good windward performance but with the emphasis on reaching and off the wind. The fine entrance allows the Horizon to work to windward in rough water with little fuss and the full bodied mid section gives power to handle the large headsails and spinnakers carried on this type of craft. Construction features the tried and proven double diagonal system which is the easiest method for the amateur builder. The craft is constructed from 3 skins of V," ply or solid timber and could also be adapted for foam sandwich or end grain balsa using the same fullsize plans. The plan includes Fullsize frames, transom and stem, detailed construction drawings, interior layout, sail plan, rigging plan, rudder construction etc.
