The ECLIPSE 9.1 m is a planing hull designed for a 20 to 30 knot cruising speed in normal offshore conditions. This craft has been specifically designed for I/O propulsion using a 200 h.p. diesel I/O drive or similar stern mounted engine system. A 200 h.p. Volvo duoprop diesel would give a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots in normal trim. A 350h.p. petrol I/O would give a top speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots.

The hull is constructed over sawn frames reinforced with plywood using large fore and aft stringers which are laminated for extra strength through the bottom of the craft with the bottom double skinned in 2 layers of 9mm 5 ply and the topsides of 2 skins of 6mm. The interior layout has been designed to take maximum advantage of I/O power which gives a 6'4" or 1.930m headroom throughout the saloon area. The shower and toilet have been positioned opposite each other under the fore cabin deck area. There is accommodation for 6 to 8 people in this vessel. However, the interior layout can be altered to suit individual requirements. The cabin structure and flying bridge have been designed to minimise wind resistance in both profile and head wind conditions and the styling has been designed to fulfil the need for an up-to-date modern appearance which should not date.

The plan includes FULLSIZE PATTERNS of the frames, stem and transom plus full working drawings and written instructions.
