The CRUSADER is based on our proven displacement designs and is designed to take single motors from 100 h.p. to 250 h.p. or twins from 75 h.p. to 150 h.p. each. The hull shape of the Crusader has a deep fine entry with a high flare bow to ensure that the craft is dry in a head sea as well as sea kindly. The hard chine configuration gives excellent stability at rest.

The craft is substantially constructed with a 19mm thick bottom, 19mm sides over heavy fore and aft stringers and frames which are sawn from solid timber. Fullsize templates are given for all the framework for ease of construction by the amateur builder and this eliminates any complex lofting when building the craft. The hull is built upside down on a simple building jig and this makes fibreglassing and painting extremely simple.

The internal accommodation can be altered to suit individual requirements and the layout shown on the plans is given as a guide to the builder. There are two cabin styles shown on the plan, one for covered over side deck and the other for a more conventional trawler type cabin structure with the normal flying bridge and after cabin. The craft has a fully protected deadwood for the single screw and this gives a draught of 1.193m. This reduces to approximately 914mm for the twin installation.

The plan includes FULLSIZE TEMPLATES of all the frames, stem, rims and transom, detailed drawings on hull construction, decks and cabin as well as engine installation, fuel tanks, propeller shaft etc. The plan is in metric and imperial.
