The ENSIGN is a traditional style hard chine runabout for use with small inboard engines. It is ideal for fishing in sheltered waters. The craft is constructed using the stitch and tape method which makes for a simple construction method without having to make any building jigs etc.

The craft is designed to be driven by small engines, either diesel or petrol, in the 5hp to 12hp range, with a 10hp engine giving a speed of 7 knots. Engines could be stationary motors or those used on compressors or lawn mowers.
