The FLORIDA is a high performance planing hull and has been specifically designed for twin installation. The shaft angles on the propellers have been kept at 8° which ensures extremely good propeller efficiency and allows the engines to be either installed flat with an 8° angle drive or inline without any engine installation problems. The engines have been positioned approximately amidships to keep the craft well balanced in a sea way and the fuel tanks have been fitted directly behind the engines.

The craft is built over conventional sawn frames with laminated fore and aft stringers on the bottom, laminated chine, keelson, stem etc. for maximum strength while keeping the craft light weight.

The plan details three different profile styles i.e. European version with swept back flying bridge and small after cabin; wheelhouse version with after cabin; Sedan top with large cockpit for fishing etc. Interior layouts are shown on the study print.

Twin 190 h.p. Volvo Pentas on 2.7 to 1 reduction would give a maximum speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots; twin 250h.p. Volvos a maximum speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 21 knots. Twin VS turbo-charged Caterpillars 270 h.p. a maximum speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots.

The plan includes FULLSIZE PATTERNS of the frames, stem and transom plus detailed drawings on hull construction, engine installation, cabin structure and interior structure. Dimensions are given in imperial and metric.
