The CONQUEST has been designed as a general purpose cruising/game fishing craft to be powered by centre mounted diesel engines in the 140/200 h.p. range. The hull shape has been designed to be sea kindly with a deep vee fine entrance, large built in spray chines and a generous flare to keep the foredeck dry. The sheer line has been designed with a slight rise in the bow which also helps with the sea keeping ability of the craft. The medium vee stern sections and easy run on the bottom means that the craft planes at relatively low speeds. The rudder and steering gear has been set back into the built in boarding platform. This helps reduce the shaft angle and increases rudder efficiency. The design also features a large cockpit with stern door and plenty of storage under the cockpit floor for diving, fishing and other gear, this area being completely free of any mechanical components. The construction is sawn frames at approximately 914mm with large section laminated bottom stringers running over the frames. The hull skin is of double skin plywood or solid timber which gives a rigid and very stiff hull.

The interior layout features a double berth forard to starboard with settee to port, single berth cabin to port and shower and head area to starboard. On the bridgedeck there is a large settee to port and a galley to port and to starboard the helm position and a pull out bed settee.

A 140 h.p. 4 cylinder Yanmar 2 to 1 reduction will give a top speed of 17 knots and cruise at 14 knots; 170 h.p. Yanmar 2 to 1 reduction a top speed of 19 knots and cruise at 16 knots, 210 h.p. HINO top speed 23 knots cruise 20 knots.

The plan includes FULLSIZE TEMPLATES of the frames, stem and transom, plus detailed drawings on hull construction, deck, cabin, interior etc. as well as engineering layout, fuel tanks, water tanks etc. The plan is in metric and imperial measurements.
