The REBEL is designed for aluminium construction. This is a planing hull designed to perform in the 15/17 knot range with motors of 150 to 170 h.p. A 170 h.p. 4 cylinder motor will give a top speed of 18 knots and a cruise of 15 knots. The hull configuration features a large built-in spray chine and a hull shape that ensures seakindly operation at planing speeds while the high bow prevents excessive water on deck when travelling at displacement speeds.

The construction is bar frames at 914mm centres with fore and aft stringers running through the frames with a 6mm bottom and 4mm topsides with 3mm deck, cabin, flying bridge, etc. The craft has been designed to be built without any heavy equipment. It is recommended that the transom and cabin top be rolled in a simple set of rollers to ensure that these areas have a fair curve. However, all the hull is simply plated up directly onto the framework without the necessity of rolling or forming the plate, etc.

The interior layout consists of a double bunk forward to port and another double bunk in the saloon to port with a galley unit in the cockpit and a head and hnadbasin in the fore cabin. However, the interior layout is a guide only and can easily be altered by the builder.

The plan includes FULLSIZE TEMPLATES of the frames, stem and transom as well as detailed drawings on hull construction, setting up,, etc. as well as written instructions. The plan is in metric and imperial measurements.
