The ALLIANCE 12/13m has been designed for aluminium construction with twin engines from 200 h.p. to 400 h.p. each. The hull construction is of aluminium plate with a 6mm bottom and 4mm sides, decks and cabin sides, while the interior bulkheads, cabin floor, flying bridge, etc. is from 3mm aluminium plate. The craft is framed at approximately 914mm centres with 100 x 20mm frames with 38 x 12mm stringers running fore and aft through the frames at approximately 250mm centres. The hull features a slightly flared bow which is easily plated in diagonal strips in the forard flare area while the bottom features our proven gullwing design for increased stability and low planing speeds. Twin 300 h.p. diesels will give a top speed of 20 knots and a cruise of 16 knots under normal full fuel and water conditions.
The interior layout consists of two double cabins forard with shower and head, while the large saloon features a galley, dinette and settees with downstairs control position. The settee can also be pulled out to form another double berth if desired. There are three versions shown on the plan, i.e. straight sheer, swept sheer and a cut away sheer. Also the overall length can be adjusted from 12 to 13m if desired by respacing the frames. This extended length can either be used as a built in boarding platform or as an extended hull length.
The Alliance is a modern, easily driven craft, designed to plane at low speeds for maximum economy. The mean hull beam of 4572mm gives it exceptional stability as well as load carrying ability, while the generous freeboard forward ensures a dry craft. The plan includes FULLSIZE TEMPLATES of the frames and stem plus detailed working drawings and written instructions. The plan is in metric and imperial measurements.
